ThaiNamthip, represented by Khun Charnvit Charindhorn, Senior Vice President Supply Chain, and Burapha University, represented by Assistant Professor Dr. Nayot Kurukitkoson, Dean of Faculty of Engineering, signed a memorandum of understanding for both entities to jointly promote human capital development in engineering through knowledge sharing, a student internship program, and a curriculum development to enhance capabilities in beverage manufacturing and engineering. The Coca-Cola Company, ThaiNamthip Corporation Limited and Swire Coca-Cola Limited announced today they have entered into definitive agreements to form a strategic bottling alliance in north ASEAN, including Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, and Cambodia.&nbsp;The companies will align management, governance, and growth objectives across ThaiNamthip and Swire Coca-Cola franchise territories with an aim to become the undisputed leader in the beverages market in the region. The alliance will drive profitable growth through world-class differentiating capabilities and a relentless focus on customers and consumers.&nbsp;The alliance will leverage the local knowledge and understanding in Thailand and Laos of ThaiNamthip and the global perspective of Swire Coca-Cola. Through the combination of their capabilities, scale, and capacity to invest locally, the alliance will seek to achieve their substantial long term growth ambitions. &nbsp;&nbsp;The alliance will be brought about by The Coca-Cola Company divesting its minority ownership of ThaiNamthip to both ThaiNamthip and Swire Coca-Cola immediately after signing today. Additionally, subject to regulatory approvals, Swire Coca-Cola will take a controlling stake in ThaiNamthip’s bottling operations in Thailand and Laos, and ThaiNamthip will take a minority stake in Swire Coca-Cola’s bottling operations in Vietnam and Cambodia.&nbsp;Coca-Cola ASEAN and South Pacific President Claudia Lorenzo said, “Coca-Cola is celebrating 75 years in Thailand this year. We are delighted that in this anniversary year two exceptional bottling partners are joining forces in our key north ASEAN markets. Our journey towards sustainability continues to move us closer to realizing our “World Without Waste” global vision, with the recent introduction of rPET (recycled PET) bottles. ThaiNamthip Corporation Limited led by Tanaporn Khositaphai, Senior Vice President- Commercial, in collaboration with key partner Trash Lucky Co., Ltd. launched today the 3rd annual installment of the ‘‘Coke Recycle Me with Trash Lucky” campaign.&nbsp;This year’s campaign will be the biggest yet and aims to promote and encourage Thai consumers to adopt waste separation practices and actively participate in the recycling process. The campaign involves the development of a robust waste management system expanding the recycling network, partnering with seven leading organizations in Thailand.&nbsp;Existing retail partners like Lotus’s and The Shell Company of Thailand will be supporting the campaign as well as new partners – The Mall Group Co., Ltd. and Big C Supercenter plc. Furthermore, a new alliance with Thai Beverage Can will support the recycling of aluminum cans in this campaign. For every aluminum can donated during the campaign, a donation will be made to support the Prostheses Foundation, under the patronage of H.R.H. Princess Srinagarindra.&nbsp;The ‘‘Coke Recycle Me with Trash Lucky” campaign focuses on public recycling and sustainable waste management practices and incentivizes consumers to adopt circular economy principles – starting with recycling in daily life. Participants earn chances to win monthly prizes worth 2 million Baht in total.

Mr.Dhongchai Siridhara, Advisor, ThaiNamthip Co., Ltd., joined employees from ThaiNamthip’s Korat to plant vetiver grass and trees in the remote area of Ban Limthong, Buriram Province as part of ‘RAKNAM’ (Love Water) program which is the Thai water stewardship project of Coca-Cola Foundation.&nbsp;<img class="image_resized" style="width:46.89%;" src="https://webtntlprd.blob.core.windows.net/content/1666102370971-IMG_0902re.webp"> &nbsp; &nbsp;<img class="image_resized" style="width:47.89%;" src="https://webtntlprd.blob.core.windows.net/content/1666102279197-IMG_0808re.webp"> &nbsp;This project aims to return equivalent amount of water used in beverage production to the community and nature by 2020 and underline company’s commitment to drive sustainable development in Thailand. ‘RAKNAM’ program aims to achieve water security where ThaiNamthip operates, focusing in three key areas:Reduce the amount of water used in manufacturing processRecycle the water from our manufacturing process through stringent and comprehensive wastewater treatment until the water is clean and safe enough for aquatic lives. The treated water is used in other non-production processes and thereby decreases the usage of water sourced from surrounding communities.Replenish water by safely returning the equivalent amount of water used in finished beverages and production processes to communities and nature.&nbsp;The ‘RAKNAM’ project was launched in 2007 by The Coca-Cola Foundation Thailand in partnership with various organizations such as the Utokapat Foundation under Royal Patronage of H.M.
