Bangkok, December 19, 2024 – Coca-Cola ThaiNamthip strengthens its leadership in sustainability and innovation throughout its entire value chain as ThaiNamthip’s Rangsit plant was recognized at the prestigious Prime Minister’s Industry Award in the Energy Management Category. This recognition underlines Coca-Cola ThaiNamthip’s world-class manufacturing standards that utilize innovations and technologies to reduce energy consumption, enhance production efficiency, and serve as a role model for sustainable business practices.

Mr. Charnvit Charindhorn, Senior Vice President - Supply Chain, ThaiNamthip Company Limited, the bottling partner of the Coca-Cola Company across 63 provinces in Thailand, stated: “Coca-Cola ThaiNamthip places significant emphasis on sustainability throughout our supply chain. Under Swire Coca-Cola’s sustainability strategy - ‘Our Choice, Our Future!’, we prioritize business choices that make a positive impact  for our planet and environment. One of our focuses in the space of climate is enhancing our business resilience to climate change. At Coca-Cola ThaiNamthip, we manage energy efficiency throughout the production process, with our Rangsit plant serving as a role model of effective energy management. This includes establishing effective policies and dedicated energy management teamwork, planning and controlling operations, monitoring results, and driving continuous improvement. We also leverage innovation and technology to enhance machinery efficiency and energy conservation, including electricity and thermal energy. These measures help reduce machine temperatures and allow water from production processes to be reused for machinery operations. From 2021 to 2023, ThaiNamthip’s Rangsit plant successfully reduced electricity consumption by approximately 9,111,480 kWh and thermal energy consumption by around 540,687 liters. These accomplishments collectively equate to a reduction of approximately 4,558 tons of carbon dioxide emissions. We are proud of this tangible achievement, which has earned us the prestigious accolade in the energy management category. We remain committed to building a more sustainable future to increase positive impact on Thailand’s environment.”

Since 1959, Coca-Cola ThaiNamthip has been delivering happiness and refreshments to consumers in Thailand. The company operates five state-of-the-art bottling plants that produce world-renowned Coca-Cola brand beverages, with an annual production capacity exceeding 450 million unit cases. In addition to this latest accolade, Coca-Cola ThaiNamthip was also honored with Green Industry Level 3: Green System by the Ministry of Industry last year.
