ThaiNamthip Coca-Cola and ZEN Group are collaborating with Wastebuy Delivery to enhance sustainability
ThaiNamthip Coca-Cola and ZEN Group are collaborating with Wastebuy Delivery to enhance sustainability by launching a closed-loop packaging recycling initiative at nearly 80 restaurants.
Reinforcing a Shared Commitment to Responsible Business Practices for Society and the Environment

ThaiNamthip Coca-Cola has partnered with long-time ally ZEN Group and joined hands with Wastebuy Delivery to launch a closed-loop packaging management initiative. The collaboration aims to collect used beverage packaging from ZEN Group restaurants and return it to the recycling system, adding value through both recycling and upcycling processes. As part of the project, recycled PET plastic bottles will be transformed into reflective safety vests, which will be donated to the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA). The initiative has been piloted at nearly 80 restaurant branches, with plans to expand and further promote sustainable environmental practices.

Mr. John Jason Riley, Vice President – HoReCa, ThaiNamthip Corporation Public Company Limited, the main bottling partner of The Coca-Cola Company in Thailand, stated: “Under our sustainability strategy, ‘Our Choice, Our Future!’, ThaiNamthip Coca-Cola is committed to supporting a closed-loop packaging system. We are delighted to deepen our longstanding partnership with ZEN Group, built on shared goals of business growth and social and environmental responsibility. This joint initiative is designed to support our partner’s sustainability efforts across the value chain by collecting used PET plastic bottles and aluminum cans from ZEN Group restaurants and returning them to the recycling process through a structured and traceable system. With the support of Wastebuy Delivery, some of these PET bottles will be upcycled into reflective vests to be donated to the BMA. This project underscores our strong commitment to sustainable business practices and our dedication to recovering post-consumer packaging. We look forward to further collaboration with our partners, including customers, public and private sector organizations, to drive collective success and create a lasting positive impact on Thai society.”

Miss Jomkwan Chirathivat, Chief Restaurant Officer, ZEN Corporation Group Public Company Limited, added: “ZEN Group takes pride in our long-standing partnership with ThaiNamthip Coca-Cola. Together, we have consistently driven business success while maintaining a commitment to delivering freshness, quality, and premium experiences across our 10 restaurant brands. Equally important is our focus on sustainable growth through responsible waste and resource management at both our offices and restaurant outlets nationwide. This joint packaging recycling project with ThaiNamthip Coca-Cola and Wastebuy Delivery marks a significant milestone in elevating environmental standards within our restaurants. Currently, nearly 80 pilot branches from brands including ZEN, AKA, On the Table, Cyu, Tummour, and Lao Yuan have joined the initiative. We are preparing to expand this program across more brands and locations, establishing ourselves as a role model in sustainable waste management within the restaurant industry.”

Dr. Itthikon Srichanban, Chief Executive Officer of Wastebuy Delivery Co., Ltd., commented: “Wastebuy Delivery is honored to contribute to this collaborative initiative by facilitating the collection of used packaging from restaurants and ensuring it is returned into the recycling system in a structured and traceable manner. Through the WasteBuy mobile application and our direct collection services, we are streamlining post-consumer waste management for the foodservice sector. This project represents an expansion of our mission—from raising public awareness and engaging with local communities, to partnering with industry leaders in food and beverage to create a truly sustainable waste management model. Since the launch of this project, we have collected nearly 12,500 kilograms of recyclable waste from ZEN Group restaurants—100% of which can be recycled—resulting in a reduction of over 38,700 kilograms of CO₂ equivalent emissions. This is comparable to planting more than 4,000 trees. Through both recycling and upcycling, we are reducing landfill waste and creating new value. We are committed to scaling up our collaboration and delivering long-term benefits to society and the planet.”
The used packaging collection and recycling initiative launched in April 2025. As of July 2025, a total of 78 ZEN Group restaurant branches, representing six brands—ZEN, AKA, On the Table, Cyu, Tummour, and Lao Yuan—have participated in the program. Staff at each location are responsible for separating used beverage packaging, such as PET plastic bottles and aluminum cans, along with other recyclable materials. These collected materials are gathered by Wastebuy Delivery. Proceeds from the sale of the recyclables, along with contributions from ThaiNamthip Coca-Cola, are used to fund the upcycling of plastic bottles into reflective safety vests. These vests will be donated to support street-cleaning personnel from the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration.
