ThaiNamthip Coca-Cola joins hands with Zen Group and Wastebuy Delivery to deliver upcycled reflective vests made from used PET bottles to BMA street cleaning staff in support of the “Bangkok Magic Hands” project

ThaiNamthip Coca-Cola, in collaboration with Zen Group and Wastebuy Delivery, transformed used PET bottles into new, safety-certified reflective vests and handed over 200 sets to the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) in support of the “Bangkok Magic Hands” initiative. The vests will be used by BMA’s street cleaning personnel, enhancing both safety and sustainability in their daily operations.

This initiative builds on the ongoing partnership for sustainable packaging collection from Zen Group’s restaurants, ensuring that used beverage packaging is returned to the recycling system and upcycled into new value-added products. The effort underscores ThaiNamthip Coca-Cola’s commitment to integrating sustainability throughout its value chain and advancing closed-loop packaging systems through collaboration with business partners and both public and private sectors.

The joint project by ThaiNamthip Coca-Cola, Zen Group, and Wastebuy Delivery began in April 2025, collecting post-consumer beverage packaging from over 80 Zen Group restaurants nationwide. Staff at each branch have been actively sorting used beverage containers — including clear PET bottles, aluminum cans, and other recyclable materials — for Wastebuy Delivery to transport and process for recycling and upcycling.
To date, more than 29,825 kilograms of post-consumer packaging have been collected from Zen Group restaurants and fully recycled. The initiative has helped reduce approximately 90,464 kilograms of CO₂ equivalent emissions — an impact comparable to planting over 9,400 trees.
