ThaiNamthip Coca-Cola and Thonburi District Office Build on “COKE Foodmarks” Campaign through Waste Separation Initiative in Talat Phlu - Supporting BMA’s “No Mixed Waste” Policy

ThaiNamthip Coca-Cola, led by Ms. Puntarika Susuntitapong, Vice President - Public Affairs, Communications, and Sustainability at ThaiNamthip Corporation Public Company Limited, the main bottling partner of The Coca-Cola Company in Thailand, continues to advance sustainability efforts in communities through the handover of waste separation bins to the Thonburi District Office. The initiative advances the “COKE Foodmarks” campaign, which recently added Talat Phlu as its newest destination — a vibrant street food hub situated under the Ratchadaphisek overpass by the Talat Phlu railway that has been revitalized through the campaign. This upgraded area not only stimulates local economic activity but also integrates waste management solutions that foster environmental stewardship. The campaign aims to promote waste separation at source in this bustling community.

The bins were officially handed over to the Thonburi District Office, with Acting Sub-Lieutenant Dachathon Sangamnaj, Director of Thonburi District Office, receiving the support on behalf of the local authorities. The waste bins categorized for general waste, recyclables, and food waste are designed to support both local vendors and residents in properly sorting waste at the disposal point. This aligns with Bangkok Metropolitan Administration’s “No Mixed Waste” policy, which aims to reduce landfill waste volume, lower carbon emissions from food waste, and enhance the efficiency of recycling systems. The campaign introduces the concept: “Right Bin, Better Life at Talat Phlu.” The campaign is implemented by the Thonburi District Office to ensure proper recycling and disposal of waste.

This collaboration demonstrates ThaiNamthip Coca-Cola’s commitment to driving the sustainability goals, especially the collection of post-consumer packaging and the development of circular packaging. These efforts reflect the company’s sustainability strategy, “Our Choice, Our Future!” which is built upon three core pillars: Planet, Product, and People. Through such initiatives, the company continues to create positive impacts for both society and the environment.
