Strengthening a Longstanding Partnership Between Two Industry Leaders

ThaiNamthip Coca-Cola and HaadThip have joined forces with Accor, a global hospitality leader, reaffirming the longstanding partnership through the fourth annual “Accor x Coca-Cola® Mixology Competition”. This initiative continues to empower professional bartenders by enhancing their skills in beverage service and creative mixology. A key highlight of this year’s event was a special session for finalists with 2018 world-class bartender champion Jane Kaewyod, Pongpan Suepsangthai, President of the Thailand Bartender Association, and Gavin Teverasan, Bar Manager of MOGA at Pullman Singapore Hill Street. They shared insights on mixology trends, sustainability, and innovation, providing an exceptional opportunity for bartenders to elevate their expertise. The competition challenges participants to craft signature cocktails using Coca-Cola products, iconic and globally loved beverage brands. The event celebrates the strength of the long-term partnership between ThaiNamthip Coca-Cola, HaadThip, and Accor, reflecting the shared commitment to delivering world-class guest experiences while driving mutual business success.

The “Accor x Coca-Cola® Mixology Competition” was recently held at Mövenpick BDMS Wellness Resort Bangkok, an urban resort for business, leisure, and wellness located in the heart of Bangkok. Bartenders from Accor hotels nationwide competed to create cocktail recipes featuring Coca-Cola products, including Coca-Cola Zero Sugar, Coca-Cola Original Taste, Fanta, Sprite, and Schweppes. This year’s competition was judged based on multiple criteria, including innovation, sustainability, ingredients, presentation, styling, and garnish, ensuring a comprehensive evaluation of each creation.

The winners of this year’s competition were as follows:

·       1st Place – Mr. Kongpop Tanthawisut from V Villas Phuket MGallery took home the first prize and a 2-baht gold bar with his standout creation, “S.O.S., Sniff of Siam.” Inspired by the iconic Thai inhaler, a humble yet distinctive part of everyday Thai life, Mr. Kongpop transformed its refreshing essence into a cocktail that blends tradition with modern flair. At the heart of the drink is Coke Zero Sugar, delivering crisp refreshment, paired with a delicate mix of Thai floral notes, Phuket pineapple, holy basil, and cardamom. Finished with a subtle menthol aroma reminiscent of a soothing inhaler spray, the cocktail is a multisensory experience—cooling, calming, and unmistakably Thai. “S.O.S., Sniff of Siam” captures the spirit of contemporary Thai culture, offering a refined balance of flavor and fragrance that’s both familiar and refreshingly new.

·       2nd Place – Ms. Chalida Chakaiya from Mövenpick BDMS Wellness Resort Bangkok received a 1-baht gold bar for her cocktail, “Hom Niam,” a refreshing creation infused with Thai herbs and Schweppes Manao Soda Zero Sugar.

·       3rd Place – Ms. Nichakarn Ingkachotivanich from VIE Hotel Bangkok – MGallery Collection won third prize with “Lanna Larb,” a bold and savory cocktail inspired by the traditional Northern Thai dish Larb Lanna. Crafted with Schweppes Soda Water, the drink reinterprets the flavors of this iconic dish into a modern mixology experience.

·       Best Video Award – Mr. Suttiphat Kladpibal from Novotel Bangkok Future Park Rangsit was recognized for “Saneh Rim Klong,” a cocktail that playfully blends the aromatic charm of boat noodle broth with the distinctive fizz of Schweppes Manao Soda. A gift voucher valued at THB 2,000 was presented as part of the award.
